She was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Theda Stone Morgan of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital. She was 77 years old.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in Booher Cemetery.

The family requests visitation on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 3pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.


Theda was born on January 03, 1941, in Cumberland County, KY to the late John Logan Stone and Etta Lou Melton Stone.

She was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Gordon Morgan, four brothers, Reid Stone, Ernest Stone, Wendell Stone, and Edwin Stone, and three sisters, Rena Suratt, Anna Ruth Lawson, and Norma Butler.

Survivors Include:
  • One Son, Barry Stone and wife Hollie of Albany, KY
  • One Daughter, Lisa Perdue and husband Casey of Burkesville, KY
  • One Brother, John Stone, Jr. and wife Janice of Louisville, KY
  • Five Grandchildren, Brandie Tompkins and husband Ben, Hunter Perdue, Braden Perdue, Kynslee Perdue, and Jon Easton Perdue
  • One expectant great grandchild, Benson Tompkins
  • A host of other relatives and friends
