Bill that would ease removal of dams signed into law By Jackson French, Bowling Green Daily News The America's Water Infrastructure Act passed Congress earlier this month and has been signed by the president. Under the new law, the removal of local dams is expected to be easier and quicker. The bill contains a section that Michael Hensley with the Nature Conservancy said clarifies a legal question that's prevented the Army Corps of Engineers from removing Barren River Lock and Dam No. 1 and Green River Lock and Dam No. 5.
