Dale Selby, 78, Russell Springs, KY (1940-2018)

Dale was a brickmason and a member of Grace Independent Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a Charter Member.

Dale Selby, 78, of Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

The funeral service for Dale Selby will be 1pmCT Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Caleb Shirley officiating. Special Music will be performed by the Severt Family. Interment will follow in the Jack Lawless Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11amCT until 1pmCT on Sunday.


He was born July 11, 1940 in Russell County to the late Herbert & Oretha Voils Selby.

Dale was a brickmason and a member of Grace Independent Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a Charter Member.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded by a sister, Janice Dean Warner.

Survivors include
  • His wife, Marlene Selby, of Russell Springs
  • Two children, Trent Dale Selby, of Raymond, MS, and Dawn Renee (Jerry) Willoughby, of Columbia
  • One grandchild, Taylor Shae Willoughby
Pallbearers: Jacky Pyles, Jimmy Pyles, Dan Voils, Alan Voils, Boyd Warner, Doyle Warner, Zack Berry, Bro. Jim Thompson.

Memorials may be made to Grace Independent Baptist Church or Hospice of Lake Cemberland. These can be made at the funeral home.
