Historic Columbian Theater

Downtown Columbia's most unique asset, located in the Fountain corner of the Public Square

The Columbian, built in 1947, has been restored to all its former grandeur.
A viable business, the Theater was the heart of the social scene of Columbia for many years.
It also provided start-up jobs for many young men and women.

Today it offers the same values for downtown Columbia along with
first rate family entertainment.

The theater lobby
has a concession counter
with favorite candy snacks,
delicious movie popcorn
and fountain drinks.

Stairs lead to the
old fashioned balcony,
the popular VIP room
for private parties,
and the projection room.

THE MARQUEE
was added for walkers and drivers
who like to glance up and keep up with the current movie as they travel through downtown.

The Dolby surround sound system plus the wide seating with handy cupholders add to your comfort level while watching the movie on one of the largest screens between Louisville and Nashville.
