Your Other Family Doctors
Pets are a big part of every family, and the Adair County Animal Hospital is dedicated to family. Veterinarians and Sisters, Dr. Shantila Feese Rexroat and Dr. Shannon Feese Campbell have been working in the veterinary field since they graduated high school. They became partners in 1999 after Dr. Campbell graduated veterinary school. Dr. Rexroat did her undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University and Dr. Campbell did her undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky. Both were accepted to veterinary school early.

Sisters and Brother in Practice Together
Dr. Rexroat received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 1996. Dr. Campbell received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1999. Drs. Rexroat and Campbell became partners at the Adair County Animal Hospital in August 1999, after they purchased it from their previous employer/mentor, Dr. C. E. Schaefer. Drs. Campbell and Rexroat's brother, Dr. Jacob Feese, joined the practice on July 1, 2006. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2002 and graduated St. Georges school of Veterinary Medicine in June 2006.

New Modern Facility, Quality Medicine
"We practice high quality medicine," Dr. Rexroat says, "and we are proud to offer traditional surgery and Laser surgery in a fully functioning surgical unit. We have EKG, pulse oximetry, and a machine that measures Temperature, Pulse, and Respiration while our patients are under anesthesia. We utilize these tools as well as our technicians to perform routine and specialized surgical procedures. We have specialized ophthamology equipment and the newest radiology equipment available. Dr. Campbell has post graduate training in orthopedic surgery and fixation. Dr. Rexroat has post graduate training in ophthamology. Dr. Feese has had extensive training in feedlot, dairy and equine medicine.

Experienced Staff
We are very fortunate to have three very experienced Veterinary Assistants. Bobbie Jo Russell has worked with Dr. Rexroat for ten years and Alice Marcum joined the practice with Dr. Campbell in 1999. Alice is also a trained EMT. Our newest addition is Terry Creek. Terry has 15 years experience in the veterinary technician field and is an avid equestrian.

"We are very proud of our large and experienced staff. Mary Ann Banewicz has been with us for 6 years, Mindy Cook has been here for 5 years and will become full time January 2007. We are particularly lucky to have two women--Jean Murphy and Martha Christie--in charge of our kennel area. They keep a constant eye on all of our boarders and are two of the most thorough, affectionate caretakers we could ask for. When pets stay with us they are very loved and tended to constantly. Chenoa Drake is an asset to our office. Chenoa is attending school for nursing, but when she is here she fills in in almost every corner of the hospital. Last but certainly not least we have two fine ladies who take care of our daughters, Pauline Akin and Catherine Froedge. We have been fortunate to be able to bring our children to work with us every day and very proud to be able to offer in house daycare to our staff.
