Columbia native in motorcycle accident on Western Ky Pkwy

A Columbia, KY, native, Julia Kay Collins, Brandenburg, KY, was transported by PHI Air Medical to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN following a motorcycle crash near the 35 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Hopkins Co., KY, on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at approximately 2:20pmCT.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville (Nortonville), KY, Ms. Collins, 55, was a passenger on a 2006 Harley Davidson driven by Jeffery Embrey, 54, also of Brandenburg, KY. The motorcycle was westbound on the Western KY Parkway when, for an unknown reason, the driver lost control and ran off the right shoulder of the roadway.

After leaving the roadway, the motorcycle struck a guardrail and ejected both passengers. Both were wearing helmets, according to the police report.

Mr. Embrey was transported by MedCenter EMS to the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY.

KSP Trooper Carlo Anderson of the Madisonville Post of the KSP investigated the accident. Other agencies on the scene were MedCenter EMS, South Hopkins Fire Department, and PHI Air Medical.

We will pick up the orders every few days and call the person when the sign is ready to be picked up. Signs are still $15 and are a hot item for Chistmas since they fit perfectly into a large stocking. They are about the best gift I can think of for the person that already has everything and is hard to shop for. If a person wants a sign by Christmas, they will have to get their order in by December 15, 2010. which is the last day of school before break.
