Cyber threats and what we need to know

Colin Glover was the guest speaker at Wednesday's Russell County Chamber of Commerce meeting. He represents the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Region 4, Kentucky. Glover told the audience at the Russell County Public Library that cyber threats are real and his agency is available to do a no-cost risk analysis on site. Proposed sports complex in Russell County

"City and County working together" is how the new proposed sports complex was described Wednesday at the Russell County Chamber of Commerce meeting. Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum, at left, was joined by Jamestown Mayor, Regena Hinton; and Russell Springs Mayor, Eddie Thomas, giving the details of planning and fundraising efforts underway.

Young artists featured at Student Art Show

The Third Annual Student Art Show was held at the Trabue Russell House last week through Sunday and featured the works of many talented young artists. The program is funded by the Jim Blair Memorial Fund.

Nine-year-old Layne Weston of Columbia poses with his medals after the 2024 12 & Under Kentucky SCY Championships in Louisville. Layne's 100 Breaststroke time at the event has made him among the fastest 9-year-old swimmers in the country.
