Dan was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He was a farm equipment salesman at G & G Motors for many years and worked for Adanta Behavioral Services. A native of Michigan, he had amassed a host of friends since moving to Kentucky. He was the son of the late Dorothy Goodwin Slocum and Rolland Farr, who survives, as does his longtime companion, Pam Brown Farr of Columbia, KY. A public graveside service will be held Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10amCT/11amET, at Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9020 W KY 80, Nancy, KY, with full military rites presented by the Somerset Honor Guard and by Chaplain Clarence Floyd. He was born July 22, 1949 in Lansing, Michigan. He died Tuesday, October 3, 2017, in Nancy, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 68 years, two months, and 11 days.
