Leona Lane, 68, Taylor County, KY (1949-2017)

After living in Indianapolis, IN, for many years, she moved to Campbellsville, KY, where she went to work prior to her retirement as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab, formerly Medco, as well as a cashier for the Family Dollar Store. She was a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born. Her husband, Harold Dee Lane, survives. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

Leona Jean Lane, 68, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY, after an extended illness.

Funeral Services for Leona Jean Lane will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Joe Lane and Bro. Marvin Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Casey County at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Leona will be at 10amCT/11amET, until time for the service on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.


Leona Lane, 68, Taylor County, KY (1949-2017)

Leona was born on August 22, 1949 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. She was the daughter of daughter of the late Homer Ray & Stella Marie Cook Sanders. She died Saturday, September 30, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 68 years, one month and eight days of age

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her in laws, John K. and Ethel Lane.

After living in Indianapolis, IN, for many years, she moved to Campbellsville, KY, where she went to worked prior to her retirement as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab, formerly Medco, as well as a cashier for the Family Dollar Store. She was a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born.

Leona is survived by her husband: Harold Dee Lane, and the following:
  • Her seven children: Leon Davis Satterfield of Columbia, KY; Jack Satterfield, Michael Lane, Justin Lane, Sherry Russellburg, Barry Lane and Tammy Ward all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her five grandchildren: Courtney Imus, Dallas Shuman and Autumn Edward of Campbellsville, KY; and Ernie Imus and Matthew Imus of Mayfield

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Patricia Nicalaou and Chiqutia Boyd, both of Indianapolis, IN

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
