An antiparasitic in candy form, from the old drugstore in Creelsboro. The label reads:
Compound Santonin - Worm Candy: A Pleasant, Safe and Effectual Worm Expeller.Patrick writes, "I picked this up at an estate sale in Tompkinsville, KY. Know anything about this?"
Directions: Children, 10 to 15 years old, 2 to 4 lozenges night and mornings 1 to 4 years old, 1 to 2 lozenges in the morning on an empty stomach, Repeat the dose daily until the proper effect is produced.
Each Lozenge Contains: Santonin, 1-2 gr. Mercurous chloride, mild, 1-2 gr. Podophyllum resin, 1-20 grain.
