Mrs. Suzie Whitman Ford, 52, Green Co., KY (1965-2017)

Graduating from University of Louisville with a bachelor's Degree in Occupational and Development and a Registered Nurse degree from ECTC, she also had just recently been awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" for her outstanding efforts at Communicare. Suzy suffered from addiction. A disease she struggled with for many years. While she was unable to overcome that battle after valiant attempts, she blessed others with her humor and kindness through helping others. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Don & Kay Bagby Whitman, who survive. She leaves one direct living descendant, a son, Keaton Ford of Mt. Sherman, KY

Anita Sue "Suzie" Whitman Ford, age 52, of Hudgins Community of Green County, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017, at her home.

The funeral services for Mrs. Suzie Whitman Ford will be conducted at 11amCt. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery, 2368 Aetna Grove Church Road, Summersville, KY. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, on Monday, November 20, 2017, and after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the service. Pallbearers will be Drew Powers, Gaige Powers, Brian Scott, Travis Scott, Jason Whitman, and C.J. Whitman.

She was born May 9, 1965. She was the daughter of Don & Kay Bagby Whitman of Hudgins Community, Green County, KY, who survive. She died Friday, November 17, 2017, in he Hudgins Community of Green County, KY, at the age of 52 years, six months, and eight days.

Graduating from University of Louisville with a bachelor's Degree in Occupational and Development and a Registered Nurse degree from ECTC, she also had just recently been awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" for her outstanding efforts at Communicare. Suzy suffered from addiction. A disease she struggled with for many years. While she was unable to overcome that battle after valiant attempts, she blessed others with her humor and kindness through helping others. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • A son: Keaton Ford of Mt. Sherman, KY

  • Her father and mother: Don & Kay Bagby Whitman of Hudgins Community, Green County, KY

  • A sister & brother-in-law: Sherry & Dale Powers of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two nephews: Drew Powers and Gaige Powers of Elizabethtown, KY
  • A treasured friend: Sue Hines, who always supported and gave her hope

  • and a host of other relatives and friends

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
