Interment will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 W KY 80, Nancy, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday September 19, 2017 4:30-7pmCT, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

He was born on Tuesday, May 08, 1934 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of Son of the late Martha Catherine Meece Roy & Sylvester Meece. He died Sunday, September 17, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 83 years, four months, and 10 days.

He is survived by:

• Wife: Doris Downs Meece, Russell Springs, KY


• Three daughters: Dana Brown, Livingston, KY; Lisa Sullivan, Cincinnati, Ohio and Sherry Brown, Russell Springs, KY


• One son: Scott Brown, Tascaloosa, AL


• One sister: Rosie Holt, Cincinnati, Ohio


• Five grandchildren


• Ten great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one Jerry Brown.
