The funeral service for Marty S. York will be held on Saturday, July 01, 2017 at 12pmNoonCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will be in Marrowbone Cemetery with military honors. Family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

Marty was born on June 12, 1950 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. He was the son of the late Fred Jackson York & Geneva Imogene Thomas York. He died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 67 years, 16 days.
Marty was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of A & Y Enterprises.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Jackson York, and one brother, Charles Fred York.
Marty was united in marriage to his wife, Ladon York, on September 18, 1971 in Jamestown, TN.
They were blessed with four children, who also survive, Sonya Lynn Hadley and her husband Jeff of Anderson, IN, Tonya Leigh Anderson of Marrowbone, KY, Matthew S. York and his wife Chasity of Marrowbone, KY, and Erika Y. Possel and her husband Robert of Bowling Green, KY.
