He was a farmer and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church. He was a native of Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late George & Lizzie Owens Robertson. His wife, Frances Robertson, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

J. C. Robertson, 78, of Russell Springs, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service for J. C. Robertson will be 11:30amCT, Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Visitation after 6pmCT Sunday, April 24, 2016. Interment will be in the New Friendship Cemetery..



Pallbearers: Chris Maynard, Jade Robertson, Garnett Robertson, David Burke, Arnie Robertson, and Vic Cooper.

He was born May 13, 1937 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of to the late George & Lizzie Owens Robertson. He died Friday, April 22, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and nine days.

He was a farmer and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by theee brothers, Arnold, Getter, & Buddy Robertson; and three sisters, Tola Burke, Janella Luttrell, and Clarice Foley.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Frances Robertson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three children: Larisa (Roger) Stocton, Lonnie (April) Robertson, and Len (Rhonda) Robertson, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Ashley (Wade) Clopton, Haley, Gavin, Brittany, Freddie, and Alexis

  • And three great grandchildren
