She was a member of Sexton Fork Baptist Church, and a former employee of Bob Evans.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thurston Ferguson, two sisters, Susan Riddle and Mary Riddle, and one brother, Herman Riddle. Survivors include the following:

- Sister-in-law: Imogene Glidewell of Albany, KY
- and a host of other relatives and friends also survive
