Charles J. Durrant, 83, of Jamestown, KY passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Center in Somerset, KY.


Charles J. Durrant, 83, Jamestown, KY (1931-2015)

He was born in Welaka, Putnam County, FL on May 13, 1931, a son of the late Clara (Harper) and Charles Durrant. He died in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, Thursday, February 15, 2015, at the age of 83 years, eight months, and and 30 days.

He served in the U.S. Marines. He retired from the Military.

He is survived by the following:

• A daughter: Teresa Pierce, of Russell Springs, KY


• Two sons: Charles Durrant, Jr. of Jamestown, KY, and Darrin Durrant of FL. a sister Lily Taylor of FL


• A brother: Jack Durrant of FL


• Eight grandchildren


• One great grandchild

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Streamline Alphea Evans and Ruth Baker, 1 daughter Starla Marlene Smith.
