The funeral service will be at 6pmCT/7pmET, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville by Rev. Dave Walters. Burial will be at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Stuart-Partin Cemetery in Knox County, Kentucky with full military honors by the DAV Chapter 158 Honor Guard . Visitation will be 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmCT, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, 420 Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville, KY.

Rev. David Lyons of Campbellsville, was the son of the late Mike Lyons and Maudie Campbell Lyons. He was born June 12, 1932 in Carter County, Kentucky. He died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 82 years, six months, and 26 days.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.
He was a retired Southern Baptist minister.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He united in marriage to Sue Hanna, who preceded him in death.
He united in marriage to Pat Wells March 3, 1990.

- Two grandchildren: Hanna Reagan Lyons and Taylor Isabella Lyons
- Nine step-grandchildren: Sean Phillips, Todd Phillips, Brent Phillips, Jordan Smith, Hunter Smith, Jessica Durham, Holly Durham, Sarah Durham and Zachary Durham
- One step-great-granddaughter: Chandler Durham
- One brother and four sisters: Mike Lyons of Seminole, Florida: Jessie James of Greenup, KY; Lucille Dameron of Dayton, Ohio; Elizabeth Norwood and husband, Bill of Cleveland, Tennessee> and Janet Harris and husband, Tom of Grayson, KY
- Several nieces and nephews
- and many other relatives and friends.
