Mae Walker, 71, Cumberland County, KY (1943-2014)

She was a member of Burkesville Community Church, a member of the homemakers club, and a former employee of the Cumberland County Board of Education. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the lae Will Maupin and Beulah Alexander Maupin, and the widow of Mack Walker. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Mae Walker age 71 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 19, 2014 at 1pmCt at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Pastor James Starks officiating. Burial will follow in Burkesville Cemetery, Old Columbia Road, Burkesville, KY. Family requests visitation on Friday, December 16, 2014 from 5pmCT until 9pmCT. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.



Mae Walker, 71, Cumberland County, KY (1943-2014)


Mae was born on Friday, April 16, 1943 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Will Maupin and Beulah Alexander Maupin. She died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 71 years, eight months, and one day.

She was a member of Burkesville Community Church, a member of the homemakers club, and a former employee of the Cumberland County Board of Education.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mack Walker on December 07, 2005; three brothers, Charles Maupin, William Maupin, and Alexander Murray; and five sisters, Gertrude Hurd, Dora Murray, Minnie Wilburn, Dorothy Farris, and Virginia Turner.

Survivors include:
  • One son; Mitchell Walker of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two daughters: Stephanie Walker of Burkesville, KY; and Felicia Wells of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two grandchildren; Olivia Walker, and Ian Wells

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
