She was born Saturday, January 24, 1953, in Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lester Kelsay and Elzora Corbin Butler. She died Friday, July 11, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 61 years, five months, and 18 days.

Survivors include:
  • Her loving husband of 41 years, Wendell G. Fulkerson of Louisville, KY

  • Two children: David Fulkerson & Tammy Lynn Fulkerson (Jeffrey Coater) all of Louisville

  • Three brothers: Charles Kelsay of Russell Springs, KY; Eugene Kelsay of Edinburgh, IN, and Joe Todd Butler of Russell Springs, KY

  • One step-brother: David L. Butler of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Anthony Fulkerson-Jones, Christopher Andrew Jones (Kaytlyn Prewitt), Austin & Zachary Jones
