Lester Lee Wesley, Casey County, KY (1950-2014)

He was a timber cutter, carpenter, and member of the Ferndale Baptist Church. Lester loved to hunt, fish, and was avid about mules. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late William Clarence and Louvernie Gadberry Wesley. His wife of over 26 years, Kim Taylor Wesley, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants

Lester Wesley passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at his home in the Mintonville Community. He was 64.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, , 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. David Terwilliger officiating. Mr. Wesley will be laid to rest in Watson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is after 9amCT/10amET, Thursday, until the funeral service.

He was born Tuesday, May 9, 1950 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late William Clarence and Louvernie Gadberry Wesley. He died Monday, June 30, 2014, in Mintonvillle, Casey County, KY, at the age of 64 years, one month, and 21 days.

He was a timber cutter, carpenter, and member of the Ferndale Baptist Church. Lester loved to hunt, fish, and was avid about mules.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Taylor Wesley, whom he married October 3, 1987, and the following:
  • Two sons: Cory Jordan Wesley and Dustin Jacob Wesley both of Mintonville, KY

  • Two daughters: Tracey (and Jake) Weddle of Argyle, KY; and Holly (and Doug) Polston of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Devin Cole Shoultz and Hayden Kendall Polston

  • Six brothers: McKinley (and Virginia) Wesley of Harrodsburg, KY; Vernon (and Patty) Wesley of Indiana; Dee (and Toby) Wesley of Harrodsburg, KY; Jay (and Marilyn) Wesley of Mintonville, KY; Chester (and Betty) Wesley of Indiana; and Wayne (and Charlotte) Wesley of Kings Mountain, KY

  • Six sisters: Mayrene Haste of Science Hill, KY; Aileen Burton of London, KY; Audrey Faye (and James) Ball of Frankfort, KY; Dorothy (and David) Terwilliger of Ferndale, KY; Mary Rose (and Merle) Haste of Science Hill, KY; and LaFern (and Gary) Blevins of Mintonville, KY
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ruth Wesley.
