Ruby Helen Stamper, Casey Co., KY (1925-2013)

She was a native of Krypton, Perry County, KY, and the matriarch of a highly regarded Casey County, KY family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Stamper. She leaves five direct living descendants. She was an elementary school teacher for over 31 years for the Carter County Board of Education and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church

Ruby Helen Stamper passed away Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY . She was 87.

Funeral services are 9amCT/10amET, Saturday April 13, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jim Brown officiating. Burial is at Olive Hill Memorial Gardens in Olive Hill, KY. Visitation is Friday 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Pallbearers are Heath Blumer, Phil Blumer, Dennis L. Potts, William C. Potts, Joe Benton, and Murl Martin.

Ruby Helen Stamper, Casey Co., KY (1925-2013)

Born Wednesday April 19, 1925 in Krypton, Perry County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Lena Eversole Campbell. She died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 21 days.

She was an elementary school teacher for over 31 years for the Carter County Board of Education and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband of sixty-five years, James Stamper of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Jean Blumer of Shalimar, FL

  • Two grandchildren: Heath Scott (and wife, Vashti) Blumer of Crestview, FL; and Erin Niclole Blumer (and husband, Joe Harasimowicz) of Fort Myers, FL

  • Two great-grandchildren: Payton Isabelle Blumer and Lexi Blumer

  • A brother: Bert Campbell of Goshen, Ohio

  • A sister: Loraine Potts of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Three nephews: Dennis Lee (and Margie) Potts, William Clinton Potts , and Gary (and Teresa) Potts

  • And a niece, Debbie Potts
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, James Jefferson Stamper ; four sisters, Gladys Johnson, Margie Benton, Marie Sparks and Gerturde Monday; and a nephew, Tim Potts.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
