The funeral for Curtis Clifford Popplewell will be at 2pmCT, Monday, March 5, 2012, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be at 12pm noon CT, Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

He was born Sunday, June 13, 1938, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Larkin Popplewell and the late Cora Popplewell. He died Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Shelbyville, Shelby County IN, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

He was a member of the Church of God, Shelby County, IN. was employed as a worker in an insulation factory.

He is survived by the following:

• Four daughters: Ronda, wife of Daren Winkler; Julia Ping, Rebecca Johnson, and Shari Popplewell, all of Shelbyville, IN


• Two sons: Brad, husband of Merry Popplewell, Shelbyville, IN; and Jerry Popplewell, both of Shelbyville


• One sister: Maria Badlley, Columbia, KY;and Faye Stephens, Russell Springs, KY


• One brother: Glendo Popplewell of Russell Springs, KY

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Popplewell.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, in charge of arrangements.
