Claudia Coomer, 88, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Summit Manor Nursing and Rehab, Columbia, KY.
The funeral service will be Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Neil Janes and Bro. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 12756 Liberty Roard, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born May 19, 1923 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of late Benjamin Harrison and Mackie Coomer Brown. She died January 12, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 24 days.
She was married to Wallace J. Coomer, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1988, and later married Azro Coomer, of Columbia, who survives.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Coomer; three brothers, Herbert, Duluth and Roscoe Brown; and two sisters, Cymbeline Gowen and Alice Coomer.
She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

- Four grandchildren: Cindy and husband Larry Walker, Neal and wife Tammy Coomer, Chris and wife Tiffany Coomer and Ben Coomer, all of Columbia, KY
- Five great grandchildren
