Frank J. Rowe, 81, Greensburg RD, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 6:25pmCT at his home after an illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg, KY with Dean Roach and Jim Collins the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, August 6, 2010, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


Frank J. Rowe, 81, Adair Co., KY native (1929-2010)

He was the son of the late Frank Jessee and Elnora Corbin Rowe of Adair County. He was born on Wednesday, May 8, 1929 and died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 2 months, and 27 days.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Hubbard Rowe, of Columbia, KY, and the following:

• Four sons: Michael Rowe and wife Mary Ann of Brentwood, TN, Gary Rowe and wife Beverly of Bluffton, SC; Mark Rowe and wife Jill of Chapel Hill, TN; and Richard Rowe of Owensboro, KY


• Three sisters: Ruby Arnold, Mildred Sneed and Margie Ramsey and husband Joe all of Louisville, KY


• Ten grandchildren


• Nine great grandchildren.


• Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teresa Ann Rowe; by two brothers, one sister and two brothers-in-law: Merle Rowe, Danny Rowe, Clara Rowe, Jimmy Arnold and Charles Sneed

He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Campbellsville, KY, a mechanic and served in the U. S. Army.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
