She was a member of a large, respected West Adair Co., KY family

Elsie Mae Sneed, 93, formerly of Adair Co., KY, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at 2:50pmCT, at Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Willard Parson the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery, 225 Prices Creek Road, Adair County, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 4:30pmCT, Tuesday, January 12, 2010.



Elsie Mae Sneed, 93, Adair Co., KY (1916-2010)

She was born April 16, 1916 and died January 10, 2010, in Edmonton, KY, at the age of 93 years, 8 months, and 25 days.She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ariel Gladys Coomer Brown and was the widow of Richard Curtis Sneed.She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and daughters in law: James and Joyce Bragg Sneed, Spartanburg, SC; and Gary Curtis and Mildred Harmon Sneed, Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Brenda Sneed Fleming and Ronald Sneed.

  • Four great grandsons: Carson and Chase Crosby, and Willilam and Wesley Curtis Sneed.

  • And a special family friend: Ladonna Parker Sneed
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jon Curtis Sneed, and one sister and two brothers: Merle Ellen Cole, McClister Brown, and Henry Clavis Brown.
