Onda Wayne Burton of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at his residence. He was 71 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Richard Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10amCT on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
He was born on June 11, 1954, in Columbia, KY to the late Lether Green Burton and Ruthie Mae Bryant Burton.
Mr. Burton enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagle hounds and listening to rock music.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews Dewayne McKinney (Lasara), Rodney Burton (Ashley), Kayla Hagedorn (Vince), Cagney Burton, Suzanna Streeval (Tony), Greg Burton (Amanda), Teresa Burton (Jimmy), Donnie Burton (Sharon), Larry Burton, Phillip Burton, and Connie Rich (David).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings Katie Jean McKinney, Wendell, Joseph, Zenith, Jimmy, Ronald "Moonbeam", Gobbel, Minnie and Wanda Burton, a niece Norma Hatcher and a nephew Kevin Burton.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bailey, Dewayne McKinney, Rodney Burton, Donnie Burton, Randy Hatcher, and Danny Foster.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
