Kevel Grider, age 94, Russell County, KY

Kevel Grider, age 94, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026. She was born on Tuesday, April 26 1932, in Russell Springs, the daughter of Arizona West Stephens and Ezra Stephens, who preceded her in death.

She was a retired cook in the Russell County School System and a long time member of Main Street Church of God.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Retta Grider Hatfield, spouse Bobby; and Regina Grider Tiller, spouse Gerald, all of Russell Springs KY

1 Son: Richard Grider, spouse Brenda, of Russell Springs KY.

1 Brother: Bobby Stephens, spouse Geraldine, of Russell Springs KY

She is survived by three granddaughters, Andrea Hatfield, Breanna McGowan and Megan Smith. Six great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Lemuel Grider, siblings, Wilbert, Eli, Arvester, Jason and Calvin Stephens, Magdalene Stephens Rexroat, Ruth Smith Johnson, Virginia (Jenny) Stephens McQueary and Orpha Stephens.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT Saturday, June 13 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be at 10 Saturday.

Interment will be in Russell Springs Cemetery, 1516 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
