Wendel Alan Goode, 65, Knifley, KY (1960-2026)
Wendel Alan Goode of the Knifley Community, the son of the late Welby and Juanita (Googe) Goode, was born September 17, 1960, in Louisville, KY, and departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his home. He was 65 years of age.
The funeral will be held at NoonCT/1pmET on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Jeremy Wethington Officiating. Interment will follow in the Roley Cemetery, with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is requested from 10amCT/11amET on Saturday until time for the service.
He was a retired sheet metal foreman and HVAC installer and attended the Christie Chapel Church. He enjoyed motorcycles, music, playing the guitar, being outdoors and enjoying nature, and drawing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, KJ Bruner, and one sister: Glenda Daniels.
Survivors include his wife, Michele (Minor) Goode of Knifley; his children: Angel Bruner (Michael Hamilton) of Scottsville, Brittany Todoroff (John) of Charleston, South Carolina, Brooke Ansert and Gabrielle Ansert, both of Louisville.
A brother: Jeff Goode of Louisville; five grandchildren: Chloe Tuttle, Lee Bruner, Jaxon Bruner, Rowan and Kate Todoroff and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to The Bobby Henline Foundation.
