Curtis Lee Sneed, 81, Columbia, KY native (1943-2024)

Curtis Lee Sneed of Mount Washington passed away on March 19, 2024, after his long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Antioch Cemetery in Columbia.


Curtis was born on August 8th, 1943, to Clarence Lee and Della Marie Sneed in Columbia, Kentucky. After graduating from Adair County High School, he served his country in the Airforce as an Air Policeman. After fulfilling his duties, Curtis returned to Louisville, KY as a line worker at GE where he met the love of his life, Dorothy. In 2007, Curtis retired, and he and Dorothy spent their time traveling, reading, gardening, and enjoying yard work together.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father Clarence Sneed, mother Della Marie Sneed, sisters Annie Beula Sneed and Shirley D. Stayton. He is survived by two nephews, Michael and Bryan Stayton and niece Victoria Fields.
