Robert (Bobby) Cave, Jr., 77, Campbellsville, KY (1945-2023)

Robert "Bobby" Cave Jr. of Campbellsville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 77 years old.

There will be a funeral service for Robert "Bobby" Cave Jr. at 2pmET on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. John Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

The family requests visitation on Sunday, April 2, 2023, 2023 from NoonET until 2pmET at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.


Robert "Bobby" Cave, Jr., the son of Robert Wade Cave and Ina Jewell Knifley Cave, was born May 8, 1945 in Campbellsville, KY.

He had professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was retired from Parker-Kalon where he worked as a Tool-Maker. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, being around farm animals and talking with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Ann Allen Cave, having united in marriage on May 27, 1967. One son and one daughter: Kevin Wade Cave and wife Lisa, and Cecilia Cave all of Campbellsville.

Two grandchildren: Justin Wade Cave of Campbellsville and Lydia Ann Cave Grant and husband Lonnie of Columbia, KY.

One brother: Kenneth Newcomb and wife Shirley of Campbellsville, KY

He was preceded in death by one sister: Imogene Benningfield.

Memorials are suggested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at the funeral home.
