Melissa A. Roberts, 48, Campbellsville, KY (1973-2022)

Melissa A. Roberts passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Lebanon. She was 48 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Dr. Paul Patton. Cremation will follow.

Visitation is requested from 10amET until 2pmET on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Melissa A. Roberts daughter of Lynn Browning Rigon, Dennis (Yank) Rigon, and the late Gilbert Elliott was born March 28, 1973 in Marion County, Kentucky.

She had long ago professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian Faith. She had an amazing servant's heart, having taken multiple mission trips to Guatemala and had sponsored children through the Samaritan Purse Organization.

She was formerly in the banking business, but most recently utilized her incredible creativity and crafting ability to run her pride and joy: jewelry business Joyful Beads.

Melissa united in marriage to Brian Roberts August 7, 1993. After being raised in Campbellsville, they lived and worked several years in Louisville, and almost 20 years in Wilson, North Carolina before moving back to Campbellsville in December 2021.

She had an uncanny ability to light up any room she entered; she never met a stranger, and had an irresistible and unforgettable personality. She loved shopping; especially for shoes, purses and home decor and enjoyed decorating her home and those of her many friends. Adopting Sabrina was the highlight of her life, and she carried an unconditional and unsurpassable love for her. She was a selfless giver to family and friends, and especially enjoyed spoiling Sabrina and 'our boys', nephews JT and Elliott, who referred to her as 'Uncle Wissa'.

Besides her husband, Brian Roberts of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Roberts of Wilson, North Carolina, her mother and step-father, Lynn and Yank Rigon of Bardstown, one sister, Andrea Redmon and husband, Jason of Springfield, one sister-in-law, Deb Roberts of Campbellsville; two nephews: J.T. Redmon and Elliott Redmon of Springfield and many other relatives and friends.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Samaritans Purse and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at parrottramsey.com.
