Position: District Administrative Secretary

Pay: $18.00/hr (some benefits included)

The Russell County Conservation District will be accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Secretary starting at $18.00 per hour with some benefits included. Must have experience in bookkeeping and be familiar with Quicken and Microsoft Office.

Agriculture knowledge/experience is a plus. Applicant will be working directly with landowners, Conservation District and Natural Resources Conservation Service to perform clerical, accounting, educational and programmatic duties. Must be willing to work within the school systems to coordinate and present conservation education materials. All applicants will be required to have a background check. JOB OPEN AT LWU - ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

Lindsey Wilson University is seeking applicants for an Admissions Counselor position. Admissions Counselors represent Lindsey Wilson University to a broad range of populations. Each Admissions Counselor is responsible for the recruitment of prospective students in a specified territory; coordinating high school visitation programs and events incorporating formal and informal presentations and public speaking engagements with high school counselors, students, and parents. The Admissions Counselor serves as a front-line service provider with student admission and financial aid counseling, recruitment travel (15-20% seasonal travel required), and communication with prospective students.

A bachelor's degree is required. Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills and be goal-oriented.

Examples of Admissions Counselor duties:

- Visits high schools within the assigned region and conducts meetings with prospective students while building relationships with school counselors and other interested parties.

- Participates with the departmental leadership in defining key schools, sets new student enrollment targets for each of those schools, and devises and implements strategies to reach those targets.

- Corresponds with prospective students including applicants, family, alumni, school counselors and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic and non-academic programs, and student activities.

- Makes assigned telephone calls to call lists as appropriate. Use texting to correspond with students.

- Conducts on-campus presentations and meetings with prospective students and their parents or guardians; assists in office coverage for phone calls and walk-in visitors.
