LWC swimming hosts Cumberlands on Saturday By Benjamin Riegger Lindsey Wilson men and women's swimming team hosts Mid-South Conference member Cumberlands (Ky.) at 11amCT on Saturday, October 6, at the Holloway Center Natatorium in the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY. Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team is coming off a first place finish at LWC Fall Frenzy on September 28-29. The women received a total of 13 A-cut standards at the meet. Reigning MSC Women's Swimmer of the Week, Jessica Macdonald finished with three individual A-Cuts in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 200 individual medley. She took four individual first place finishes, while teaming up with LWC teammates for five additional first place finishes in relays. Freshman, Sloane Smith, achieved her first A-cut as a Blue Raider in the 200-yard breaststroke. The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team returns to the pool after a third place finish at the LWC Fall Frenzy. The men posted a total of seven A-cut standards as Olek Olenjnik earned his first individual A-Cut this season in the 50-yard freestyle. Pedro Terra obtained an individual A-cut in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:47.75. The men's team also attained five additional A-cut standards in all of the relays. Cumberlands opens their 2018-19 season in the dual meet on Saturday against Lindsey Wilson. Last Season, both teams competed in a dual meet with the Patriots defeating the Blue Raiders in both the men and women's dual. The men and women's swimming teams were 5-3 in dual meets last season.
