LWC volleyball continues conference play against Cumberland By Clayton Barefield The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team continues Mid-South Conference play against Cumberland (Tenn.) at 6:30pmCT on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (16-2, 6-0 MSC) are set to finish their four-game home stretch after a successful weekend of sweeps over Pikeville (Ky.) and Shawnee State (Ohio). Alexis Smith led the way with hitting percentages of .727 and .600 on Friday and Saturday. Smith has recorded a hitting percentage of .500 or better in six matches. Lindsey Wilson comes into the match ranked fourth in the NAIA in hitting percentage (.294) as well as ranked fifth in kills per game (14.2). The Blue Raiders offense is led by Sarah Cruz who has 231 total kills and averages four kills per set. Autumn Proctor leads the team with 416 assists and averages 7.7 assists per set. The defense for Lindsey Wilson is led by Lilo Larzelere who has 209 digs on the season. Grace Blomstedt leads the defense in blocks with 71. The Phoenix (4-7, 2-2 MSC) visit Biggers Sports Center after a sweep over Pikeville on Saturday. The Cumberland offense is led by Lyssette Serna who has 95 kills and 21 aces on the year. Tuesday's match is the 51st meeting between the two programs. Lindsey Wilson holds a 34-16 advantage over Cumberland.
