Silent City Cemetery Tour 2018 By Mike Watson The 12th Annual Columbia City Cemetery Tour is scheduled for Monday, October 1st at 5pmCT. We look forward to returning features as well as new presenters. This informative historical program grows each year and this one will be no exception. Much research by each presenter and supporters goes into each vignette. The history of our town and county, and particularly those interred in the town cemetery, is highlighted in a variety of ways for the spectators assembled at the cemetery. Attendees should gather at the Adair Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, and then travel as a group to the cemetery where presenters will be positioned for their part in the evening's program. The entire program generally lasts about forty-five minutes to an hour, then back to the library for a reception. The presenters this year and the characters they portray are:
October is Family History Month in the United States and the Silent City Tour is our effort to kick-off a month of family and local history research. Come be with us for an interesting evening.
