WKU to host 2018 Parent & Family Weekend Sept. 28-29

Western Kentucky University's annual Parent & Family Weekend begins on Friday, Sept. 28, and continues with a full day of activities on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The WKU Family of the Year will be recognized during Saturday night's WKU vs. Marshall football game. Kickoff is set for 6:30pmCT at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.


Parent & Family Weekend begins with Friday evening's WKU Baseball Alumni game at Nick Denes Field. Saturday's events include the WKU Baseball Golf Tournament at CrossWinds Golf Course, tours of the Kentucky Museum, residence hall open houses, WKU Treasure Hunt, Festival on the Green, multiple open houses, brunches and tailgating on South Lawn including the WKU Alumni Association Celebrate & Tailgate presented by US Bank. The first 25 attendees at the WKU Baseball Alumni game and the Golf Tournament will receive a Parent & Family Weekend T-shirt. WKU encourages parents and families to purchase their event and Festival on the Green tickets in advance to ensure a quick check-in on either Friday (4:30pmCT-8pmCT) or Saturday (10amCT-6pmCT); Parent & Family Weekend check-in will be located on the second floor of the Downing Student Union.
