LWC Football adds game to 2018 schedule

By Chris Wells

The Lindsey Wilson football team is scheduled to play NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision member Presbyterian (S.C.) at 6pmCT on Thursday, Sept. 27, in Clinton, South Carolina.

The addition to the Blue Raiders' 2018 schedule comes on the heels of the cancelation of Lindsey Wilson's game at St. Andrews scheduled for this Saturday. The game was canceled due to heavy flooding on the St. Andrews' campus as a result of Hurricane Florence.

The Lindsey Wilson-Presbyterian game will be the first meeting between the two programs. It also marks the first-ever game for the Blue Raiders against an NCAA FCS member.

The Blue Hose are a member of the Big South Conference.

Presbyterian (0-1) dropped its season-opener to NCAA No. 24-ranked Austin Peay (Tenn.) on Sept. 8. The Blue Hose also lost a game off their schedule with the cancelation of last weekend's game against Stetson (Fla.). Presbyterian is slated to host Mid-South Conference foe Bluefield (Va.) on Saturday.

NAIA No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson is 3-0 on the season following Saturday's 69-14 win over Pikeville (Ky.).

Kickoff for the Lindsey Wilson-Presbyterian game is scheduled for 6pmCT from Bailey Memorial Stadium on the Presbyterian campus.
