HGR Fall Festival will have new picnic tables from AYDC 11th Annual Fall Festival, 09am-4pmCT/10am-5pmET at Homeplace on Green River, 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Contact: George Koblenschlag. Phone: 270-789-0006 By George Kolbenschlag There will be lots of food at Saturday’s Fall Heritage Festival at Homeplace on Green River. Thanks to the young men at the Adair County Youth Development Center and their mentor, Adair County's Ricky Collins, folks at the festival will have a place to sit in the shade and eat. The ACYDC fellows built six of the picnic tables seen in the accompanying photo for Homeplace. There will be 11 food vendors at the fest serving tenderloin, rib eye, fish, hot dogs, pulled port, waffles and other good eats. The festival highlights the farm heritage of the area and there will be all sorts of demonstrations and exhibitions of early farming, more than 20 Kentucky artists and crafters, colonial reenactors, a petting farm, hay rides, a hay maze, barrel train, the raptors (bird of prey) from the Liberty Nature Center and more. The only charge is a $10 parking fee per car. All the other activities are free except for food and vendor items purchased. Homeplace is located at 5807 New Columbia Road (KY Highway 55) between Campbellsville and Columbia about one-half mile from the Green River/Highway 55 bridge. Additional information about Homeplace is available at www.homeplacefarmky.org or on Facebook at Homeplace on Green River Kentucky. This story was posted on 2018-09-05 05:49:12
