Buford Lawrence Taylor, Cumberland County, KY (1938-2018)

He was a retired Cumberland County Magistrate and a veteran of the United States Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Lee Taylor, three brothers - B.F. Taylor, Malcolm Taylor, and Clifton Taylor, three sisters - Ozell Thurman, Inez Eggert, and Virginia Barrow, and his companion Carol Allred.

Buford Lawrence Taylor, age 79 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Cumberland Valley Manor.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 06, 2018 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Gaines Hill Cemetery with military honors. Family requests visitation on Wednesday, September 05, 2018 from 4-9pmCT at the funeral home.



Buford Lawrence Taylor, 79, Cumberland County, KY (1938-2018)

Buford was born on September 07, 1938 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the the late Wheeler Taylor and Verda Capps Taylor. He died Monday, September 3, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at theage of 79 years, 11 months, and 27 days.

He was a retired Cumberland County Magistrate and a veteran of the United States Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Lee Taylor, three brothers, B.F. Taylor, Malcolm Taylor, and Clifton Taylor, three sisters, Ozell Thurman, Inez Eggert, and Virginia Barrow, and his companion Carol Allred.

Survivors Include
  • Two daughters - Beth Everley and her husband David of Burkesville, KY and Christa Whitson and her husband Jamie of Portland, TN

  • One brother - Carlos Taylor and Linda Morris of Bowling Green, KY

  • One sister - Dorsey "Ina" Bell Petro and her husband Bob of Indianapolis, IN

  • Sister-in-law - Sandra Taylor of Bowling Green, KY

  • Nine Grandchildren - Chasity(and Matt)York, Chelsie Mims, Craig(and Tiffany) Everley, Taylor Whitson, Noah Whitson, Jessica Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Kyle Taylor and Anthony Taylor

  • Thirteen great grandchildren - Kaydence, John, Mason, Malachi, Winston, Christian, Owen, Stella, Brody, Macey, Blake, Riley and Elijah

  • A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
