Fog a factor today - Larry Smith Fog Log predicts Snow Days

Already nine foggy mornings, a call to Larry Smith, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg Radio, confirms. That means nine Snow Days in coming 2018-19 Winter. Good time to lay in far-wood for heating stoves.

By Ed Waggener

If you're commuting this morning, start early. Another blanket of thick fog is severely limiting visibility this morning.

A call to maybe the only news anchor in Kentucky who keeps up with this important data, Larry Smith, GM of the Big Dawg, 99.9 FM in Campbellsville, confirm suspicions that Fogs in August have happened almost every day.

"Including this morning," he said, "nine of the 13 days have had fogs in Taylor County." That usually correlates with Adair County's fogs, because of the county-line straddling, fog producing Green River Lake.

For those not so scientifically inclined, for each day there's a fog in August, there will be a Snow Day in winter.
