He was a member of a highly regarded family centered around Clementsville, KY. He was the son of the late Kester & Eula Moxley Hayes. His wife, Ruby Aliene Hayes survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
