Election 6 Nov 2016 - Taft Neal files for Columbia City Council Neal is the fifth candidate to file for the six open seats to be decided this fall. Fourth incumbent, Linda Waggener, has picked up papers and will file very soon. One incumbent, Pam Hoots, has opted to run for Mayor and will not be a candidate for the Council. All six seats on the City Council are open in the election, 6am-6pmCT, Tuesday, November 6, 2018. CM NOTE: To date, five candidates have filed for the six open seats, they are incumbents Ronald "Butch" Rogers, Craig Dean, Anthony "Craig" Dean, and two people seeking first terms, Amy Pike and, most recently Gordon "Taff" Neal. Incumbent Linda Waggener has picked up papers and will file shortly. While we anticipate that incumbent Mark D.
