The filing took place in the office of Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer. His papers were signed by his father and step-mother, Robert & Teresa Dean. Councilman Dean has served under three Mayors, Pat Bell, Mark Harris, and the current Mayor, Curtis Hardwick. Craig Dean is a computer processing assistant at Amazon in Campbellsville. He has been at Amazon now for 18 years. He has one son, Jackson Dean, who is now 10 years old. Dean is the second to file for a seat on the six member panel, after Ronald Rogers, also an incumbent. A third council member, Pam Hoots, filed for the office of Mayor. Three other incumbents are expected to file. They are Linda Waggener, Mark Harris, and Craig Lasley. Anticipation on the final dynamics of the Mayor's race is focused on what Dr. Ben Arnold will do. Efforts to reach him have not been successful, but he has said that he intends to run this year.
