Lewis Charles (L. C.) Claywell age 83 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Service: Friday, August 03, 2018 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Perkins Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Thursday, August 02, 2018 from 4-9pmCT at the funeral home.

L. C. Claywell, 83, Cumberland County, KY (1935-2018)

L.C. was born on February 23, 1935 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Jim Claywell & Bonnie Booher Claywell. He died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 83 years, five months, and eight days.

He was a painter for many years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Pierce and Jane Campbell.

Survivors include
  • One son - David Claywell of Pensacola, FL

  • Three brothers - Jimmy Claywell of Glasgow, KY, Billy Claywell of Cave City, KY, and Lawrence Claywell of Bainbridge, IN

  • Three sisters - Barbara Claywell of Glasgow, KY; Robbie Ernst of Cave City, KY; and Wanda Elmore of Jacksonville, NC

  • A host of other relatives and friends
