CUMBERLAND COUNTY, KY (Mon 30 Jul 2018) - Trooper Allen Shirley is investigating a collision that occurred on July 27, 2018 at approximately 2pmCT, 12 miles south of Burkesville on KY 61.



Christopher Thompson, age 24, of Celina TN was operating a black 2007 Ford Taurus when he attempted to make a U turn and pulled into the path of a silver 2014 Chevy Cruze operated by 66 year old Doris Hamlett of Hilham, TN.

Hamlett was unable to avoid the collision and struck Thompson's vehicle in the driver side.

Mr. Thompson, and a passenger Patricia Thompson, were both wearing seatbelts and were not injured.

Hamlett was belted and transported to Cumberland County hospital by Cumberland County EMS for possible injuries.

Trooper Shirley was assisted at the scene by Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, Cumberland County Fire and EMS.
