He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family. He was a native of Columbia, KY, and a resident of Simpsonville, KY, at the time of his death. He leaves six direct living descendants, including two daughters, Holly Edwards Grimsley and Sherri Edwards Chunn, formerly of Columbia and now both of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one son, Efren Edwards, in 1989; one brother and one sister, David Bryant and Betty Jo Bryant Jarrell; and by step-fathers Clifton Bryant and Ray Lemmond and cherished life partner of 30 years, Geraldine Blevins.
