Elizabethtown man arrested for sexual abuse

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - (19 Jul, 2018) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 Troopers arrested an Elizabethtown man after allegations of sexual abuse were discovered.

In May 2017, KSP Post 4 was notified by the Hardin County Sheriff's Office of possible sexual abuse that had occurred in LaRue County.



During its July 2018 session, the LaRue County Grand Jury indicted Gerald Thomas Hay (57) of Elizabethtown for sexually molesting two victims who were minors at the time of the incident.

Mr. Hay was arrested and charged with one (1) count of incest, one (1) count of rape, 1st degree and three (3) counts of Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Mr. Hays was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing by KSP Post 4 Trooper James Gaither.
