Suspect arrested in alleged Green Hills, Columbia, KY burglary Answering report of residential break-in, Columbia Police say back door of residence kicked in and items including jewelry and a handgun had been stolen. Account alleges suspect was seen running through back yards of Green Hills subdivision. Video surveillance, special help by VFW Post 6097 aided police, led officers to suspect's vehicle parked at residence on Elizabeth Drive, where all items allegedly stolen in the burglary were found in the search of a residence there; suspect was taken into custody and later lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY. Click on headline for complete story By Ofc Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief Jason Cross Columbia Police arrested an Adair County man after residential break in the Green Hills subdivision in the City of Columbia. On Wednesday, July 10, 2018, Columbia Police responded to a residence on Keen Drive in the Green Hills Subdivision, to a reported burglary. Upon arrival it was found that the back door of home and been kicked in and items including jewelry and a handgun had been stolen. The officers were able to determine the incident happened between 2:30pm and 2:45pmCT. Officers were also able to get a description of the suspect's clothing and facial descriptions as he was seen running from the residence through the back yards of subdivision. Officers later obtained a picture of the suspect from video surveillance and at around 11:15pmCT, Wednesday night, a vehicle matching video was located parked at Elizabeth Drive. A search of residence was conducted resulting in all stolen items including handgun located. Jordan Perkins (age not given) was taken into custody by Ofc. Charles Greer and Ofc Josh Brockman at 11:46pmCT. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
