NWS issues Special Weather Statement Warning Russell/Adair The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Special Weather Statement at 638 PM CDT THU JUL 5 2018: A strong thunderstorm will affect West Central Russell and Southeastern Adair Counties. At 638pmCT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Columbia, moving southwest at 15 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Gadberry, Craycraft, Gentrys Mill, Joppa, Ozark, Fairplay, Glens Fork, Crocus and Montpelier.Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
