Holiday event July 6 and 7, 2018: Lakefest in Russell County Lakefest, Russell County's longest-running Independence Day celebration, will be held Friday evening and all day Saturday, July 6 and 7, 2018. The event will begin Friday evening after 4pmCT at 112 N Main Street, and on Monument Square, Jamestown, KY. Lakefest, called "a time-honored whole family tradition" was established in 1969.
